Neck set on a new build

Using a homemade jig I made I find the location of the saddle.

A strait edge showed me I’m low.

The bridge is 3/8 of an inch, the strait edge is 7/32 off the body , so I need to come up about 5/32.

Using a page out of a kit build , I use this formula.

Filling in the dimensions I come up with 1/16th of an inch.

I mark the 16th on the top and then down the side , from 1/16th to zero.

I chisel the top and then ramp down the side.

Then file and sand , checking the fit until I’m satisfied.

Now I’m just above the bridge, maybe a 1/16th, this is exactly what I wanted.
