bracing with a radius dish

staring with a 25 foot radius someone made for me on a CNC machine .

I lay the same pattern out on a piece of  3/4 and 1/4 MDF.

using calculations and an article downloaded from the internet ,I figure out spacers.

 next I drill holes and split the spacers

and glue them in place on the grid layout

once screwed down it creates the 25 foot radius

the dish now has the same curve as the back of the brace

now a full scale layout

then cut outs are made to make a layout template

this transfers to the soundboard

a homemade go-bar clamp I made a few weeks ago

 3/8th dowels are spring loaded to glue braces in place

I glue in a few sections at a time

the arch is subtle

the arch will add strength and tonal value

next I’ll set up a spindle clamp work board and glue the top on
